Stepping Stones teacher Laura Carpenter offers classes Wednesday afternoons during the school year. Kids LOVE her! Their work is displayed at the Redeemer Classical School art shows.

Knit Works on Mt. Clinton Pike next to Organic Grounds Coffee occasionally offers classes.
Ragtime Fabrics, W. Market St., Harrisonburg, offers sewing classes for ages 7 and up. 540-434-5663.
Michael’s has a monthly kids club called the Knack with drop in hours to make a variety of crafts like tote bags and pencil tins. There are also cake decorating classes and bead and scrapbooking demos for adults and older (high school) kids. You can find a schedule on their website.
Patchwork Plus in Dayton sometimes offers sewing classes for children. More classes are available for adults and older kids.
