Harrisonburg Children’s Museum offers several 1-2 day “camps” on science, ar and literature-type themes throughout the summer. Check out their website for options.
You Made It! in downtown Harrisonburg has a fun summer art camp program for kids aged 7-10 and 11-15. 5 different week long day camp options are available. Kids will create with a variety of medium including wet clay.
Eastern Mennonite University offers athletic summer camps including:
KICKS soccer camp for kids ages 6-18
Runnin’ Royals Boys Basketball camp for boys 6-16
Volleyball Camp for girls 7th thru 12th grade
Frontier Culture Museum– Summer Youth Programs Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum – Children of the World

WildeGuyde Adventures offers Adventure Classrooms in May and June for homeschooled children and their parents in groups of 2-3 graders. 4-6 graders and 7-12 graders. These trips fill up quickly! Trips include things like hiking, caving, paddling and overnight camping led by Lester Zook and friends.
Learning Can Be Fun week-long day-camps held June through July at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave. Overwhelming variety of options for students from K-12. Elementary classes include options like “American Girl”, “Be a Famous Artist”, “Introduction to Robotics”, “Drum and Percussion”, “Clay, “Creating Fiction”, “Puppets”, “Tennis”, “Native Americans”, “Wildlife Art in 3-D”, “Acting” and a “Water Adventure Week”
Belle Grove Living History Camp for kids ages 8-10. Located in Middletown, about an hour north of Harrisonburg, this four-day living history camp sets kids right down in an 18th century plantation.
Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation offer various clinics, camps and classes over the summer which include options such as raquetball, skateboarding, youth disc golf, volleyball, fencing, mountain biking and basketball camps, wrestling, laser tag, gymnastics, archery, bowling, tennis, inline hockey and baseball camps!
