Musikgarten is an EMU preparatory music program for infants to age seven.
Eastern Mennonite University offers private and/or class instruction for children in piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, and harp. Includes Suzuki-method violin instruction for children ages 3 and up.
The Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir began in 1992 under the direction of artistic director and founder Julia J. White. In 15 years the program has grown to include 230 children in three auditioned choirs and two levels of young children’s classes:
- Explorers, ages 6 to 8 (levels I and II, non-audition)
- Preparatory Choir, ages 8 to 11
- Treble Choir, ages 10 to 15
- Concert Choir, ages 11 to 18

Sandra E. Williams is offering piano lessons at Otterbein United Methodist Church, corner of S. High and Market Street in Harrisonburg. Morning hours are available for homeschool students. Mrs. Williams received her undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
